Since the foundation of the first Esol Education school in 1976, the organization has worked with leading international accrediting bodies and associations to ensure that Esol schools meet the most rigorous academic standards and are up to date with the latest teaching advancements.

Accreditations

Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools 
Esol Education schools are accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA). Recognized by the United States Department of Education, the MSA is among the premier accrediting associations in the world and has been accrediting colleges and schools in the United States for over a century.  Esol Education and MSA have a 30-year relationship and MSA currently accredits eight Esol schools.

Council of International Schools 
Most Esol Education schools are accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS). CIS is one of the world’s most widely recognized international accrediting organizations, defining  educational standards, and helping member schools access new international educational practices, gain recognition for accomplishments, attract qualified staff, facilitate student connections with leading universities around the world, and provide a quality international education experience to students and parents.  CIS accredits 6 Esol schools and regularly consults with Esol Education regarding education in the Middle East region.

International Baccalaureate Organization 
Most Esol Education schools are authorized IB World Schools offering one or more International Baccalaureate (IB) Programmes, including: the Primary Years Program (IB PYP), the Diploma Programme (IB DP) and the Career-related Certificate (IB CC). Along with other IB World Schools, Esol Education shares a common philosophy — a commitment to develop distinctive, high quality programs of international education. Only schools authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) as IB World Schools can offer any of its programs

British Schools in the Middle East  (BSME) was founded over 30 years ago and works with Middle East schools to help share best practices and keep abreast of the latest educational developments through accreditation systems, annual conferences and continuing professional development. BSME also offers the UK government’s voluntary BSO inspection programme created for international British schools.

Esol’s American International School in Cyprus is an active CEESA member, closely involved with their athletic association and professional development activities.
