Project based learning is in full effect at Dunecrest American School. Students have been using LEGO Mindstorms EV3 to build and program a robot that will be able to successfully navigate through a course. Activities such as this enables students to collaborate with each other; engineer and design a solution to the given problem.
Robotics has enhanced students engagement towards Computer science. Instead of just writing code and getting a text based output, students are able to learn the same fundamental programming skills, but instead get a practical output of the robot moving from the instructions given.
